March 31, 2008 Surf has built into the waist to rib high range this morning and it looks like it will build even more throughout the day. The buoys are reading in the 7 ft. range with a E swell direction and a E wind in the 20 knot range. The marine forecast is calling for E & SE winds all day in the 15 to 20 knot range. The tide was low at 5 am and will be high at 5:43 pm. Go surf today.
March 30, 2008 The surf has gotten alot smaller and it is barely rideable. It may be fun on a big longboard or a standup paddle boarding. Other than that it will be a great day to hang at the beach. Today is also the Spy Optics BBQ at the Waterboyz Skate Park. Come by the shop and score free food and gear from Spy Optics.
March 29, 2008 The surf is still happening and this morning it is holding in the waist high range with no winds, just a nice pretty ground swell. Perfect surf for the girls surf contest down in Navarre today. It is going to be an awesome day out at the beach so get out and enjoy it. The buoys are still reading in the 2.3 ft. range with a S swell direction, the marine forecast is calling for light SE winds all day, we had a low tide at 3:20 am and we will be having a high tide at 3:40 pm. Go surf.
March 28, 2008 Surf has built into the knee to waist high range with some bigger sets. The buoys are reading in the 3.6 ft. range with a SSE swell direction and we have SE winds blowing in the 10 knot range. The marine forecast is calling for SE winds all day in the 10 to 15 knot range, so the surf should stay at least the same size or built slightly throughout the day. We had a low tide at 2:15 am and the tide will be high at 2:40 pm, then going back out the rest of the day. Go surf soon as the wind will be calmer this morning and the surf a little less choppy than in the afternoon. There is an all girls surf contest this Sat. at Navarre pier, entery forms are in the shop.
| March 27, 2008 The surf is starting to show up. It is in the shin to knee high range this morning and the buoys are reading in the 2.3 ft. range with a SE swell direction. The marine forecast is calling for SE winds all day in the 10 to 15 knot range. We have a high tide at 1:40 pm and then the tide will be going out to a low after midnight. | March 26, 2008 Well there is no surf this morning and the buoys have dropped down to 1.6 ft. with an E swell direction. The marine forecast is calling for SE winds all the way through Sat., so if the seas will build then we should see some surf. I just not sure if it is going to happen today or not. The wind will really need to kick in hard and we aren't expecting it to blow harder than 10 to 15 knots, so maybe we won't see any surf till tomorrow. Great day to go skating. There is an all girls surf contest this Sat. at Navarre pier, entery forms are in the shop. |
March 25, 2008 The surf is still flat this morning but we do have a slight chance of surf by this afternoon. The marine forecast is calling for E winds today with SE winds tonight and repeating tomorrow with the same. The buoys are reading in the 4.9 ft. range with a NNW swell direction and a NE wind. So if these E & SE winds kick in that swell will turn around and start heading back towards us. If not today, for sure by tomorrow. There is an all girls surf contest this Sat. at Navarre pier, entery forms are in the shop.
| March 24, 2008 More N winds are blowing and it looks like it will be blowing out of the N all day so no chance of surf today. | March 23, 2008 The N winds have blown the surf totally flat and there doesn't look like there is any chance of surf today and probably not for the next couple of days. The forecast is calling for N winds for the next couple of days so it will be a great day to go just hang at the beach or go skateing. Have a happy Easter. |
March 22, 2008 Surf has gotten even smaller today. We have the buoys reading at 2.3 ft. with a SE swell direction and very light NE wind. The marine forecast is calling for light to variable winds today. We have a high tide at 10:30 am and then the tide will be going out to a low at 8:40 pm. There is not much chance of the surf building today and the waves that are coming in are only in the shin high range. So it will only be a day for those very long long boards or stand up paddle boards, other than that it is going to be a beautiful day out at the beach so come out and enjoy it.
March 21, 2008 The surf has been knocked down to almost nothing by those N winds from yesterday. The winds are forecast to E today and SE tonight, then back to N tomorrow. Hopefully we will see a little rideable surf later today as the buoys are still reading in the 4 ft. range with an ENE swell direction. The tide was low at 6:30 am then going high at 10:30 am and back to a low at 7 pm. There are a few tiny waves making it in, but it should build.
March 20, 2008 Today is the first day of Spring and we are met with some fun little left over surf in the waist to rib high range. The winds are stiff out of the N in the 15 to 20 knot range this morning but should be mellowing out by the afternoon and hopefully the surf will last all day. The buoys are reading in the 9 ft. range with a W swell direction but the N winds will be pushing the swell away from us, but there are some waves making it through. Go surf now if you can, maybe there will still be something left by this afternoon.
March 19, 2008 Another day of big surf, the buoys are reading in the 10 ft. range with a S swell direction and SE winds in the 25 knot range. The marine forecast is calling for S winds in the 25 to 30 knot range with gusts up to 40 knots. The surf is big and consistent and hard to get out in. It will be big well over head with on shore winds all day. Tomorrow the winds will go N and the surf will clean up and start to get smaller and more organized. If you go surf today be careful and make sure you have a good leash.
March 18, 2008 Big surf today and it will be bigger by this afternoon. The surf this morning is in the chest to shoulder high range but we are at a dead low tide at 7:15am and then the tide will be pushing in to a high at 8:38 pm. The marine forecast is calling for 25 to 30 knot winds out of the SE with gusts up to 35 knots. The buoys are reading in the 9 ft . range with a SE swell and it is going to get bigger. The conditions are not great for fun surf today, but it is surf. Get out early if you can before the winds just start tearing the conditions apart. Thur. may be a better day for fun surf as the winds will clock around out of the N. and clean the surf up.
March 17, 2008 Surf has gotten smaller since yesterday, with waves only in the shin high range this morning. We are at a dead low tide at 6:30 am and then the tide will be coming in to a high at 7:30 pm. The buoys are reading at 2.6 ft. with a S swell direction and a ENE wind blowing at 12 knots. The marine forecast is calling for E winds all day in the 20 to 25 knot range and with that the seas will be building into the 5 to 7 ft. range. So the surf will be building all day and there should be some bigger surf by this afternoon. The extended forecast is SE & S winds through tomorrow night so with seas building into the 11 to 13 ft. range so get ready for some big surf Tue. & Wed.
March 16, 2008 The surf is still holding in the knee to waist high range, but the NE winds are holding it up a little, you will definately want to bring a longboard and fine a good sandbar. But still plenty of waves left and hopefully it will last all day. The buoys are still reading in the 5 ft. range with S swell direction and WNW wind direction. The marine forecast is calling for NE winds today and switching to E tonight. The tide was low at 5:30 am and will be coming in to a high at 6:19 pm tonight. Go Surf it is going to be a beautiful day at the beach.

The marine forecast is calling for S winds in the 10 to 15 knot range, then becoming SW tonight and N tomorrow. | March 12, 2008 The surf has gone almost totally flat. The buoys are reading in the 3 ft. range but the winds and swell are out of the N. The marine forecast is calling for the winds to switch today & tonight out of the SW, but I don't know if we will see any surf from that today. There is a slight possibility, but as of this morning it isn't looking to good for surf today. Go Skateboarding. |
March 11, 2008 Surf is holding in the same size as yesterday, knee high with maybe some thigh high sets. The buoys are still reading in the 2.3 ft. range with an E swell direction and a light E wind. The marine forecast is calling for NE winds today and tomorrow so the surf will probably stay small or get even smaller. The tide is coming in to a high at 12:45 pm, then will be going out the rest of the day. The weather is gloomy, overcast and drizziling this morning, hopefully it will clear up. The skate park is dry and warm, so you could go skate.
March 10, 2008 The surf is even smaller this morning, but we do have E winds blowing and the buoys are reading in the 2 ft. range with an E swell direction. The marine forecast is calling for SE & E winds all day, so the surf should build a little. The tide is high at noon and will be going out to a low at midnight. It is cold out side and it will be hard to get into the waves with this strong off shore to side shore winds. Well if you don't go surf today, the skate park is nice and warm and dry. Also we are having a huge used surfboard sale and all our wetsuits are 25% off along with all the winter clothing that is 50% off.
March 7, 2008 The winds are light & variable this morning but the strong SE winds that blew all night have produced a good SE swell that is running in the chest high range with bigger sets. The tide is low at 7:30 am and the will turn around and be coming back in to a high at 9:30 pm. The incoming tide and the fact that the winds are forecast to switch to the SE this afternoon may give us a little bigger surf. Keep you eye peeled to the cameras. We'll update if the conditions change.
March 5, 2008 N winds have cleaned the surf up but it has also gotten smaller. The buoys are still reading in the 5 ft. range with a SW swell direction and we are at a dead low tide at 7am this morning. The surf is still holding in the waist high range and hopefully will last most of the day. The tide will be pushing in to a high at 8:20pm. The marine forecast is calling for N winds today and then becoming E. I think the surf will last all day, so get out and get some waves.
